Deb has been working for SOS as a cleaner for one year.  She came from Melbourne five years ago.  Deb says about working for SOS “It’s awesome working for SOS because they ring me and give me the jobs and supply the products.  In Melbourne I had to do all that myself and it was a tough gig.  With SOS they do all the bookings and I just do the work.  Oh, and I also get paid superannuation and all the bells and whistles that come with being an employee!”

Deb said it was unusual to have a cleaning company that supplied the products to the cleaners as well.  “If on the rare occasion products are supplied, they are usually pretty ineffective, but in this case I really like the products that SOS supplies.  They are friendly to me and the environment and they get the job done without too much rubbing and scrubbing.”

Deb has three children aged 7, 11 and 14 and she fits her work in between school hours.  Outside of work Deb spends her time with her family.  Their favourite activity is bike riding and they are also involved in the kids’ cricket and football activities.

Deb has managed to get 4 or 5 referrals from her clients at the Tweed Hospital.  She really takes pride in her work and says “not leaving until she is totally happy with the job” has really paid off.

It’s staff like Deb that makes us proud of the work we do for our clients.  Thanks Deb.  Deb wants to give a big shout out to her clients who referred her work.  “Thanks a lot!” says Deb.
